Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SFI teacher who will primarily work with study path 2 and, if necessary, study path 3 at Tora Vega Folk High School's SFI in Lund, but can also teach remotely. We are a folk high school with great flexibility where groups change over time. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible and used to working with mixed groups, focusing on each individual's needs and circumstances. As a mentor for your group, you are responsible for planning, assessment, and documentation. All teachers at our school are expected to work socially and pedagogically. You will follow up on participants' progression and attendance and adjust as needed. You will participate in the collective work around national tests. You will conduct study visits in the local environment of the folk high school as part of your pedagogical plan and participate in the folk high school's joint activities.

You will be part of our staff and work closely with our other educators, our administration, and school management to help our students achieve results and optimize their learning. If necessary, you will also teach other programs/courses available at our school.

In addition to pedagogical work, mentorship and administration are included in the position. You are very comfortable using digital tools in your work role. To thrive with us, it is a prerequisite that you understand the folk high school's educational philosophy.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher in Swedish as a second language and/or Swedish and have experience teaching SFI.

You have experience and can plan and teach in accordance with governing documents and course goals for SFI.

You also have good experience working with national tests within SFI.

You have experience in adult education and/or high school or other educational work. You preferably have an understanding of the folk high school's pedagogical methods and are used to working thematically.

You are very comfortable using various digital tools and media as part of your pedagogy and administration.

You have good pedagogical skills, can see the big picture, and quickly adapt to changes in the organization. Additionally, you thrive in an environment with high demands for responsibility, flexibility, decisiveness, and social competence.

You are skilled at planning based on different levels. You adapt and vary your teaching based on our participants' individual needs and circumstances.

You are good at inspiring and motivating adults, are comfortable working in a multifaceted workplace, and are a creative colleague.

You have a good approach towards students and colleagues and have good references regarding collegial collaboration.

You have good experience in distance/digital teaching and special educational knowledge.

Personal qualities are always crucial for the position.

Meritorious

You can speak Arabic, Ukrainian, or Dari.

Employment

Permanent employment, 100% (six months probationary period), vacation position with differentiated teaching hours.

If you are selected for the position, you must be able to present an approved criminal record extract (for HVB homes) from the Police's criminal record register.

Start Date and Workplace

By agreement. The workplace is in Lund but may be in Åkarp if necessary.
